Website Visitors

Like most website operators, SoliloquyWP collects non-personally-identifying information of the sort that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site, and the date and time of each visitor request. SoliloquyWP’s purpose in collecting non-personally identifying information is to better understand how SoliloquyWP’s visitors use its website. From time to time, SoliloquyWP may release non-personally-identifying information in the aggregate, e.g., by publishing a report on trends in the usage of its website.

SoliloquyWP also collects potentially personally-identifying information like Internet Protocol (IP) addresses for logged in users and for users leaving comments on our blogs. SoliloquyWP only discloses logged in user and commenter IP addresses under the same circumstances that it uses and discloses personally-identifying information as described below, except that blog commenter IP addresses are visible and disclosed to the administrators of the blog where the comment was left.

Gathering of Personally-Identifying Information

Certain visitors to SoliloquyWP’s websites choose to interact with SoliloquyWP in ways that require SoliloquyWP to gather personally-identifying information. The amount and type of information that SoliloquyWP gathers depends on the nature of the interaction. For example, we ask visitors who comment on our blog to provide a username and email address. Those who wish to receive SoliloquyWP updates via email, we collect their emails. In each case, SoliloquyWP collects such information only insofar as is necessary or appropriate to fulfill the purpose of the visitor’s interaction with SoliloquyWP. And visitors can always refuse to supply personally-identifying information, with the caveat that it may prevent them from engaging in certain website-related activities.

SoliloquyWP may collect statistics about the behavior of visitors to its websites. For instance, SoliloquyWP may monitor the most popular pages on the SoliloquyWP.com site or use spam screened by the Akismet service to help identify spam. SoliloquyWP may display this information publicly or provide it to others. However, SoliloquyWP does not disclose personally-identifying information other than as described below.

SoliloquyWP discloses potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information only to those of its employees, contractors and affiliated organizations that (i) need to know that information in order to process it on SoliloquyWP’s behalf or to provide services available at SoliloquyWP’s websites, and (ii) that have agreed not to disclose it to others. We primarily use our various product blogs to communicate this type of information, so we expect to keep this type of email to a minimum. If you send us a request (for example via a support email or via one of our feedback mechanisms), we reserve the right to publish it in order to help us clarify or respond to your request or to help us support other users. SoliloquyWP takes all measures reasonably necessary to protect against the unauthorized access, use, alteration or destruction of potentially personally-identifying and personally-identifying information.

Meta Platform Data

If you utilize our Soliloquy Instagram addon, which allows you to display images from an Instagram account you own in your Soliloquy sliders, the addon will ask you to authorize with Instagram in our settings panel.

During this process, our application will request and requires the following two permissions:

instagram_graph_user_profile: this permission is used to retrieve the name of the Instagram account. As our Soliloquy Instagram Addon allows you to connect multiple Instagram accounts, we use this permission to retrieve the name of each Instagram account that was authorized so that we can show you a list of the Instagram accounts authorized in our settings panel with their name, making it easy for you to identify which accounts you have authorized, and making it easy to reauthorize or deauthorize specific Instagram accounts.

instagram_graph_user_media: We use this permission to retrieve the images from your Instagram account to show in your Soliloquy sliders.

As our Soliloquy Instagram addon is self-hosted, your Instagram account names and the images are solely stored on your website and transmitted directly to/from Instagram’s API. Our team does not have access to this information, nor does it transfer through any servers we control.

You can permanently and instantly delete all Platform Data at any time via the “Delete All Platform Data” button in the settings panel and through other methods that are documented on our documentation for managing your Instagram Platform Data.

SoliloquyWP encourages visitors to frequently check this page for any changes to its Privacy Policy. Your continued use of this site after any change in this Privacy Policy will constitute your acceptance of such change.
