Display Captions on Mobile

Would you like to display captions on mobile devices for your Soliloquy sliders? With Soliloquy this is very easy. We’ll walk you through how to do this!

Setup

Step 1 – Create or edit your slider

Your first step is to create a new slider or edit an existing one. You can follow along with our documentation for creating your first slider.

Step 2 – Display captions on mobile setting

On the Mobile tab and check the box to Show Captions on Mobile?

Step 3 – Create captions for each image

Next, you’ll need to add captions to each of your slider images. To do this, edit the images by clicking the blue pencil icon on the image.

A window will open called Edit Item. From the metadata on the right of the image, add your caption to the image in the Caption field.

Once you’ve added your caption, click the Save Metadata button to save the changes. Then using the right and left arrows in the top right corner of the window, you can navigate through each image in the slider repeating these steps.

Step 4 – Publish or Update your slider

Finally, click Publish or Update on your slider to save the changes.

And that’s it! You’ve now set the captions to display on mobile devices!
