How to Add a Pinterest Button to Image Sliders in WordPress

Do you want to add a Pinterest button to your image sliders? Adding a “Pin it” button encourages your visitors to share your images on Pinterest. In this article, we will share how to add a Pinterest button to image sliders in WordPress.

To add a Pinterest button to image sliders in WordPress, you’ll need to follow these 5 steps:

Step 1. Install and activate the Soliloquy Slider plugin
Step 2. Create an image slider in Soliloquy
Step 3. Install and activate Soliloquy’s Pinterest Addon
Step 4. Edit your image slider and enable the Pinterest button
Step 5. Add Soliloquy slider to Post/Page

By the end of this tutorial, you will get an image slider with the Pinterest Pin It button as shown in the image below:

Step 1: Install and Activate the Soliloquy Slider Plugin

First thing you need to do is install and activate the Soliloquy WordPress Slider plugin. If you need help with this step, check out this guide on how to install a WordPress plugin.

Step 2: Create an Image Slider in Soliloquy

To create an image slider, you need to go to Soliloquy » Add New. Drag and drop your slides in the Native Slider section.

You can go to config tab to manage the settings for your image slider like dimensions, theme, and more.

Once you are satisfied with your settings, make sure to hit the Publish button.

Step 3: Install and Activate Soliloquy’s Pinterest Addon

To access this addon, you need the Soliloquy Multi, Developer or Master license. If you need help upgrading your account, check out how to upgrade your license.

Simply go to Soliloquy » Addons to install and activate the Pinterest Addon.

Upon activation, you are now ready to add a “Pin it” button to your image sliders.

Step 4: Edit Your Image Slider and Enable the Pinterest Button

Go ahead and edit your Soliloquy slider. You will see a new Pinterest tab. Click on it and check mark “Enable Pin It Button”.

You can also adjust the Pinterest position and button color in the settings.

Step 5: Add Soliloquy Slider to Post/Page

Next, copy the shortcode from the Soliloquy Slider Code widget. You’ll need this shortcode to add the image slider in your post or page.

You should go to Post » Add New or edit an existing post. In the visual editor, you can paste the shortcode and click on the Update button.
