Instagram Addon
The Instagram Addon will allow you to easily create a slider directly from your Instagram images! We’ll walk you through each step on how to create an Instagram slider.
Requirements
Installation
Please follow our instructions on how to install and activate addons.
In this instance, you’ll be activating the Soliloquy Instagram Addon.
Setup
Step 1 – Authenticate the Instagram Account for Your Site
Before you can begin creating Instagram sliders, you’ll first need to let Instagram know you’re giving Soliloquy to use your Instagram images.
Click the Soliloquy » Settings and select the Instagram tab.
Then select the Click here to Authenticate Soliloquy with Instagram button.

Next, you’ll be prompted to login to your Instagram account if you’re not already logged in.
Click the Authorize button. This connects Soliloquy to your Instagram account.
You’ll then see a success message on your Soliloquy Settings page.

Step 2 – Create your slider
Your first step is to create a new slider or edit an existing one. You can follow along with our documentation for creating your first slider.
Step 3 – Select the External Slider tab
Next, click the External Slider tab from inside Soliloquy and select the Instagram icon.

Your next step is to configure the slider settings specific to Instagram. If you’d like the images to link directly to your Instagram page, click the Link to Instagram Location? checkbox.

Step 5 – Publish or Update your gallery
Finally, click Publish or Update on your slider to save the changes.
See the demo!
And that’s it! You’ve now created your first Instagram slider! Would you like to see what other slider types you can create? Take a look at our documentation on the How to use the Dynamic Addon.
FAQs
Q: Why can’t I set my image sizes?
A: When creating an Instagram gallery, the images only have reading access. This means Soliloquy can only see the images from your Instagram and use the image URLs. Soliloquy doesn’t have the permissions needed to create cropped image sizes for the slider.
Q: How many images can I use at once?
A: At this time the Instagram API paginates image requests in batches of 33 images, and it is only possible to populate your slider with a maximum of 33 Instagram images.
